A picture of the cluster as of February 2004.
These pages describe my independent study project, creating a computing cluster. I had originally planned to build a Beowulf cluster, but after reading up on both Beowulf systems and openMosix systems, I decided that an openMosix cluster would best suit what I want to do.
The ultimate goal is to have a network of machines, all running Linux and openMosix, with which I can do processor-intensive tasks such as running seti@home. I'm not planning any special use of the cluster, the point for me is that I will pick up plenty of experience with networking and general computer setup and maintenance. If you have suggestions as to what I should run on the cluster, please send them to di gi@nu wen.net (remove spaces to send email).
This cluster is listed on the openMosix Cluster List.
